The core game of The Lord of the Rings card game comes with 3 interlinked quests that I played through. They were based on delivering a message from Mirkwood to Lothlorien (two elven realms). I played through them separately using the leadership deck for the first, the lore deck for the second, and the tactics deck for the last.
The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Book Game is built for ages 10 and up yet still offers a tactical experience that follows many of the story threads found in the iconic novels.
The only thing not available ingame are the higher level stat tomes, but stat tomes are in the current balancing state not even worth mentioning (all 18 tiers dont even add 1% to the meaning ful stats, and tier 1-14 can be earned in game (15 and 16 as well, but only in theory as their drop chance is abyssimal)) It was only a matter of time before a Lord of the Rings roleplaying game emerged from the brush. It's still very much a late 2000s MMO in design and feel. It's slow-paced and deliberate. There's no 'hype' in LotRO, it's a methodical and patient exploration of the

If you want to play the endgame content you will have to grind a lot as a f2p, but its doable. And yes its aboslutelly worth starting, from lvl 1 to like 105-110 its all free, so there is plenty of time to play before you decide if you like it or dont or will you like to put some money into the game or not. 4.

This game is still very good. The story line quests are fun and if you like the lore around Lord of the Rings, as most of us playing the game still really do, you will enjoy the experience. There is lots of content if you are a VIP you can spend months playing through all the availalbe quests and regions.
